MTA Structure
The MTA is administered by an Executive Committee of seven, elected each year from the ranks of the Board of Management.
The 31 member Board is made up of representatives of each of the MTA trade divisions and country zones.
The Executive Committee meets each month while the Board of Management meets quarterly.
Both the Board and Executive Committee discuss issues and affairs affecting the trade.
Each division has a management committee drawn from its members.
Regular meetings are held to discuss and formulate plans, strategies and policies on topics or problems which affect that division.
If these projects and policies have a wider implication they are referred to the Board of Management for adoption as overall MTA policy and given to members of the MTA's experienced staff for implementation.
Members who wish to have their opinions noted can do so by informing their local Board or Executive Committee member, who will raise the issue
