Date : 2010-02-05 12:14:18

The State’s peak automotive business group, the Motor Trade Association will host a special forum on 10th March at MTA House in Wayville to assist members who are finding it difficult to obtain suitably skilled local applicants for the range of automotive trade work available.

Automotive trades including mechanical, auto electrical, panel beating and spray painting are included on the Federal Government’s Migration Occupation in Demand List (MODL) and as such are list as being in short supply.

“MTA firmly supports any appropriate initiatives which help members secure suitably qualified tradespeople for the automotive industry,” Executive Director of the MTA John Chapman said.

MTA members can book online by 5 March 2010 or phone 08 8291 2010.

The forum commences at 3pm on Wednesday 10th March at MTA House, Level 1, 81 Greenhill Road Wayville, and concludes by 5pm with light refreshments and networking opportunities.
“The forum in s a ‘must attend’ event for members seeking skilled labour from overseas,” Mr Chapman said.
